On Monday 12th March 2007 I gave a talk to an assembled meeting of Presbyterian Ruling Elders from various congregations in Co Antrim in Northern Ireland. I chose to speak to them on the subject of ‘Islam’ as of course the Islamic presence in Northern Ireland is growing steadily. In November of this year (2008) I was once more in the company of one of the elders who had organised the invitation for me to speak and he told me that in the wake of my talk he had received a phone call from a female ‘ruling elder’ that had been in attendance at the meeting. She wanted to express her concern at the approach I had taken in my talk and felt that I was suffering from and promoting Islamophobia.
Monday 22nd May 2017 was a day of murderous infamy in Manchester as a Jihadi suicide bomber blew himself up as a pop concert audience was beginning to leave the Manchester Arena.
ALF McCREARY, the Religious Affairs correspondent of the Belfast Telegraph addressed this atrocity in his column on Saturday 27th May 2017 and in it made a totally ludicrous claim that Jihadi violence is not sanctioned by The Koran.
Having read his article I was moved to post the following on Facebook which demonstrates clearly that Mr McCreary does not know what he is talking (writing) about. This was my post –
My finalisation of this article is very timely in the light of a programme being broadcast on BBC 2 television this very evening. It is going out at 9.00 pm and is titled ‘The Day the Dinosaurs Died’.
In the listing for it we read ‘Documentary examining the asteroid strike 66 million years ago’.
In a separate write-up promoting it we read ‘’What really caused dinosaurs to disappear from the face of the earth, 66 million years ago? In this documentary, Alice Roberts and Ben Garrod catch up with an international scientific expedition that is revealing startling new evidence about one of the most mysterious vanishing acts in our planet’s history’.
The BBC are of course the consummate cheer-leaders for ‘Big-Bang’, ‘Old-Earth’ and ‘Evolution’ (annoyingly at our expense) so don’t be expecting any support for the truth of God’s wonderful 6-day creation as revealed to us in His Word, the Bible.
On Sunday 7th March 2010 a new series began on BBC 2 Television called ‘Wonders of the Solar System’ (repeated again the following Tuesday). This was how this new series was described in the Daily Mail TV guide –
‘New Series: The galaxy’s role in creating some of Earth’s most spectacular landscapes. It seems the BBC is in educational mode; no sooner has ‘How Earth Made Us’ come to an end, than a majestic new, five-part series slots into the science section of the curriculum. Pop star turned physicist Professor Brian Cox explains how the laws of nature have shaped the worlds beyond our planet, starting with the sun’.
One of the ‘gaps’ to date on the ‘Take Heed’ ministry web site has been any meaningful reference to the subject of ‘BAHA’ISM’ so with this article I hope to rectify that situation. The format of the article will be firstly to give a link to an informative documentary dating back to 1985.
There are two aspects of the documentary that I have specifically identified. There is ‘Persecution’ and that highlights the terrible persecution that Baha’is had to endure in the aftermath of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran that deposed the Shah and saw the return to the country and to power of Ayatollah Khomeini. There are helpful details concerning these events on this link –
and under a section headed ‘Politics and government’ – we read this –
‘The members of the Bahá’í Faith have been declared heretical and subversive. While persecution occurred before the Revolution since then more than 200 Bahá’ís have been executed or presumed killed, and many more have been imprisoned, deprived of jobs, pensions, businesses, and educational opportunities. Bahá’í holy places have been confiscated, vandalized, or destroyed. More recently, Bahá’ís in Iran have been deprived of education and work. Several thousand young Bahá’ís between the ages of 17 and 24 have been expelled from universities’.
In recent weeks, posters were displayed along a route that I quite often drive along. These posters were advertising an event to be held in a hotel located along that same route. This is a photo of one of the posters –
This link gives details of what those attending might have expected to see
It goes without saying that there is great interest in such matters and people in attendance often view it as ‘fantastic’ and ‘unbelievable’.
Many years ago, friends and fellow-contenders living in The Netherlands sent me videos of a large 1998 gathering held by Rome in Holland to celebrate ‘Mary: Lady of all Nations’. This is just one of the many baseless and unscriptural titles ascribed by the Roman Catholic religion to Mary. In this article, I want to focus upon a claimed ‘Eucharistic Miracle’ that is detailed in the opening portion of the first video and so to begin with here is a link to enable you to watch that portion of the video –
Having watched the video, you perhaps now understand why I included the phrase ‘Hard to stomach!’ as a subtitle to this article. This supposed ‘miracle’ centres totally around the claim that a sick man, who had received a Roman Catholic ‘consecrated wafer’, later vomited it up and, despite having been thrown in the fire, it refused to be destroyed but instead was ‘reconstituted’ and ‘danced’ above the flames of the fire next morning.
This item was first published in the September 2003 issue of ‘News from the Front’
From Thursday 29 May until Saturday 31 May 2003, Joyce Meyer ‘ministered’ in The King’s Hall Exhibition and Conference Centre, Belfast. A note on her web site mentioned ‘Joyce’s Product Tables will be open two hours prior to each meeting. Come early!’ I have drawn attention to this statement because in this article I want to deal with something that was included in an advert promoting several of ‘Joyce’s Products’.
In her ‘Life in The Word’ newsletter for April 2003 there was a half-page advert for a 4-tape series on ‘Healing’ and for a 144-page Mini-book called ‘Be Healed In Jesus’ Name’. In the body text of the advert we read ‘We have been given assurance in God’s Word that He is the Healer and it is His will to heal everyone’.
The Apostle Paul instructed Timothy in 2nd Timothy 2:2 with these words
“And the things that thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men who shall be able to teach others also”
Over recent years I have increasingly come to the firm conviction that we are living in days when the preservation and transmission of God’s “truth” (John 17:17) has fallen into the hands of many who are not “faithful men who shall be able to teach others also”.
An area where this ‘truth war’ has manifested itself is the whole subject of ‘origins’ – God has in the opening chapters of Genesis outlined the truth concerning what are termed ‘origins’ – that He is the creator of all and that He carried out His creative work in six 24-hour days.
With the ‘advent’ of Darwin’s theory of evolution that divine-creative truth has increasingly been challenged by the secular and increasingly atheistic world. In addition, in recent decades, there have been increasing numbers within professing Christendom who have sought to come to some sort of ‘accommodation’ with this theory and so have posited the view of ‘Theistic Evolution’.
Those familiar with the ministry of ‘Take Heed’ will know that I have already shared many concerns about the teachings of TIM KELLER – one of my previous articles concerning him is located on
On 25 December 2016, the current principal of Union Theological College, where those being prepared for ministry in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland are trained, posted the following to his Facebook Timeline –

Great article for all who have doubts about Christianity.
